The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is a skilled, experienced architect who is an expert in the Infrastructure domain with proficiency across most, if not all, of the domains and disciplines of IT Infrastructure Architecture.  The ISA will act as an individual contributor but work closely with multiple business lines and IT SME’s from inception to delivery. 
Must have an overall understating of principle guidelines within TOGAF and ITIL and an understanding of global, complex and regulated compliance definitions (SSAE16, SOX, PCI, etc…) as it relates to IT Infrastructure. 
The Solution Architect is the main contact for the Global Solutions team and manages the relationship with IT IS management teams (Vertical Service Leaders, Infrastructure Consulting Managers, Program Managers and Projects Managers) to provide the required pre-sales support and assists the team in shaping the opportunities.

 Job Scope

  • Ability to translate business requirement to IT and functional concepts
  • Good knowledge of end-to-end IT operations and infrastructure landscape
  • Provides strong architect expertise to ensure that the Enterprise Architecture supports and aligns with business initiatives and technology strategy.
  • Drives the creation and implementation of architecture standards and artifacts in a complex, global, regulated environment.
  • Engages both, enterprise and domain SME’s to ensure that overall Enterprise Architecture is inclusive of all stakeholder viewpoints to ensure recommendation and strategy aligns with overall enterprise goals.
  • Strategically analyze the risks, benefits, and opportunities associated with a technology solution and makes sound decisions based on key business and technical drivers.
  • Design and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems and develops architectural metrics and reports for the executive team, business and IT management stakeholders accordingly.
  • Communicate, review and obtain sign-off on all architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.
In addition, the Solutions Architect works, closely, with the Sales team and positions IT Infrastructures Services to the client. This leader creates and edits supporting sales collateral for client opportunities. This role will facilitate the deal review for assets or services that are not covered as core competencies. The Solutions Architect will present the IT IS services catalogue and strategy in customer meetings
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with the Professional Services teams on complex bids
  • Liaises with Partners/Vendors to fulfill responses
Leads pre-Sales Solution design for Infrastructure Outsourcing opportunities across a broad range of IT Infrastructure outsourcing projects and managed service responses that require some or all of the following scope of experience:
  • Service desk
  • Desktop management
  • Remote server management, DB/Middleware/Application Operations
  • Data center hosting/ Cloud (IaaS)
  • Security and network operations
    • Identifies and collates the competency/development requirements
    • Works with our alliance partners to update, train and enable the Solution team on new technologies /solutions in the marketplace.
    • Leads and conducts performance management and provides learning and development opportunities of and for the Solution team on a continuous basis
    • Manages the bid pipeline, allocation of appropriate resources and reviews solutions on a regular basis.
    • Gives feedback to Product Management on new service features, pricing issues, and other service related issues.
    • Lead and anchor workshops / discussions with clients & partners to arrive at solutions addressing business needs with a keen focus on solution pricing:
  • Defines transition and transformation roadmaps aligned with end-state architecture to enable business
  • Develops governance and management structures for successful execution of the engagements
  • Defines the overall solution approach and articulates the solution issues risks and mitigation strategies
  • Prepares and defines pricing, SLA definition, SLA penalties onsite/ offshore team composition, delivery models, service coverage
  • Works with partner organizations to integrate hosting and/or remote desktop field services. Must be able to translate requirements and understand the risks and commercial aspects of partnering Drive bid efforts and solution teams for RFP’s/ RFI’s globally
  • Advises/ supports the bid management teams on financial constructs and proposal creation
  • Has in-depth knowledge of common Infrastructure commercial pricing methods
  • Coordinates with enabling teams (technical architects, delivery managers, etc.) to ensure there is an integrated bid to the client
  • Facilitates deal reviews with senior management for deal qualification and delivery feasibility assessment
  • Handle workshops with the client and/or analyst communication across requirement gathering, solution modeling and SOW creation

Skill and Experience:
    • 15+ years of IT infrastructure services experience, preferably in Infrastructure Outsourcing
    • Global experience managing Infrastructure Outsourcing bids
    • Strong managed desktop services or hosting / Remote infrastructure management pre-sales solution experience
    • Excellent Client facing skills, preferably at CIO/ CXO levels with the ability to capture the audience and sell the solution
    • 5+ years of pre-sales technical support, with good understanding of Infrastructure technologies and services (covering the breadth of technologies). Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to multitask and handle multiple assignments, simultaneously
    • Ability to manage deliverables across multiple internal and external organizations on a global basis
    • Have ability to understand customer needs and requirements and translates these needs into a winning solution approach.
    • Have ability to take salient features of our solution approach and communicate the business value of these solutions to our clients.
