Location: Cary, NC – willing to travel Charlotte, NC (anytime
based on the project basis).

Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to

Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation,
configuration and migration

Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding
of Multi-geo support environment

Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment

Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario
-
Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
-
Suggests new technologies and design changes
-
Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Planning
Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support

Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
-
Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
-
Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
- Assist / Plan
/ Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts
- Perform H/W
& performance tuning and maintenance
- Day-to-Day
reporting analysis tasks
- Vendor
co-ordination & followup
Technical Requirement
- Installing,
configuring and maintaining Sun Servers
- Installation
and configuration of HA environment using Sun or Veritas Cluster.
- Configuration
and administration of Sun and Veritas logical volume manager.
- Installing and
Maintaining Solaris Jumpstart environment
- Patch and
Package administration
- Printer
Administration
- Writing shell
scripts to acomplish day to day system administration task
- Configuring
and supporting domain on Sun Fire Servers

Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
- Administer and
configure various FS like UFS, VxFS, ZFS, Pseudo FS
- Capacity
planning and fine tune system for optimal performance
- Understanding
of SAN and NAS storage.
- Administration
of NIS or LDAP environment
- Configuring
Unix Security baseline

Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue
- Performance
Management & fine tuning
- Experience in
System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery
planning
